Oregon Imaging Centers, LLC (OIC) is currently seeking experienced, compassionate and enthusiastic Patient Access Specialists to join our scheduling team!
The Patient Access Specialist would work full time (flexibility is critical for this position), and would be responsible for scheduling appointments and procedures, verifying insurance and patient information, educating patients on the exam process, supplying directions to our different locations and ensuring a positive, effective and efficient scheduling experience for all.
Patient Access Specialists must be able to communicate effectively and provide quality customer service to the patient, provider, insurance company and internal staff. The successful candidate will also have strong attention to detail, time management, multi-tasking, and verbal communication skills. The ability to work independently as well as part of a team, and the ability to prioritize, exercise excellent judgment, all while maintaining a high level of confidentiality is also required.
The Patient Access Specialist position works under the direction of the modality supervisors and requires the following:
* High school diploma or the equivalent
* At least 6 months of previous experience in medical office or call center environment
* Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced, professional environment
* Strong computer and typing skills
* Excellent telephone etiquette
* Previous medical scheduling experience helpful (preferably in radiology)
* Knowledge of medical terminology helpful
* Formal Anatomy Class is helpful
* Knowledge of HIPAA regulations helpful
